Outreach marks a milestone with the 25th #ORNKnowledge session: A full day branding workshop

KATHMANDU, NEPAL — Celebrating a significant milestone, Outreach hosted the 25th edition of its #ORNKnowledge series with a full-day workshop at Vivanta Kathmandu. The event brought together over 50 brand marketers representing Nepal’s most prominent global and domestic brands, creating a dynamic space for collaboration and insight.

Titled Uncomplicating Brand Strategy, the workshop was led by Shahriar Rahman and Nazia Hasnat of Strategy Central, a renowned Bangladesh-based consultancy specializing in brand strategy. Known for their expertise, Shahriar and Nazia designed the session to urge participants to revisit core branding fundamentals

The workshop challenged attendees to rethink branding through fundamental questions designed to spark fresh ideas:

  • Who is the brand targeting?
  • What are we really selling?
  • What’s the brand’s personality?
  • What’s the big, extendible idea that embodies the brand’s spirit?

Participants worked in teams to explore these questions, generating innovative strategies to market momo, a favorite Nepalese dish. Each group presented creative twists and extendible ideas that showcased a bold blend of tradition and modernity.

Ujaya Shakya, Founder, Outreach, opened the session. He emphasized the importance of revisiting branding basics: “#ORNKnowledge is a platform to share marketing best practices and learnings. Today’s full-day workshop provides an opportunity to simplify complex branding concepts with the expertise of Shahriar and Nazia. This session will undoubtedly sharpen our focus and equip us with fresh approach for future campaigns.”

At the end of the workshop, Shahriar Rahman praised the participants for their enthusiasm and creativity, stating: “This has been one of the most energetic and creative groups I have worked with. The ideas shared today highlight the immense potential of Nepal’s marketing minds. I look forward to further contributing to the growth of Nepal’s brand marketing ecosystem.”
