SINGAPORE – Emirates invites travelers to celebrate the Lunar New Year in style with a series of thoughtfully curated experiences designed to capture the essence of the season. From delectable festive menus across its world-class lounges to inflight surprises like traditional red envelopes and blockbuster entertainment, the airline ensures every journey is steeped in love, luck, and Lunar New Year magic.

From 28 January to 3 February, Emirates customers on routes between Dubai and Beijing, Guangzhou, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei will be treated to a specially crafted dessert – luscious lychee, rose and raspberry mousse cake, with pâte sablée and white chocolate in First, Business, and Premium Economy Class, and a creamy taro coconut sago with sweetened fruits and red beans in Economy Class. Across some routes, customers in all classes will also receive a traditional red envelope filled with chocolate coins, to share the prosperity of the new year.

Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system invites travelers to immerse themselves in the festive spirit with 22 Mandarin and 13 Cantonese films, including popular hits like Ride On, Table for Six 2, and We Are Family. For those looking for more options, ice offers over 350 Hollywood blockbusters with Chinese subtitles, including recent releases like Venom: The Last Dance and Wolfs and Lee. Music lovers can set the mood with 115 Chinese albums and a library of 1,000 songs, ensuring an unforgettable inflight experience.

The celebration extends to Emirates Lounges, where a festive spread awaits passengers on 29 January:

  • Dubai: Guests in the First and Business Class lounges will enjoy soya-glazed beef short ribs, rainbow salad with smoked salmon, and desserts like strawberry lychee cake and yuzu tartlets. Exclusive to First Class is a Chilean seabass with XO sauce. Matcha lovers can cool off with in-house gourmet green tea ice cream from the Emirates ice cream cart.
  • Singapore: Delight in king prawns with fragrant soy sauce, pan-fried duck with zesty lemon, and orange almond crumble cake—a symbol of good fortune.
