SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA — adobo Magazine, the word on creativity, proudly clinched two Gold Awards at the prestigious 2025 Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, reinforcing its position as a powerhouse of thought leadership and innovation in the region’s creative economy. The publication was honored for its standout initiatives: adobo SheCreative Network and the Year of Creative Sustainability, two groundbreaking campaigns that have reshaped how the Philippines’ creative industry tackles inclusion, empowerment, and sustainability.
adobo accepted its Gold awards in a gala ceremony on May 13 at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, South Korea.

Awarded under categories that recognize Excellence in Innovation in Community Relations and Communications & Media, these wins are not only a triumph for adobo but also a resounding affirmation of its mission to champion transformative narratives in advertising and the broader creative industries.
Elevating Women in Creativity
The adobo SheCreative Network, launched in 2021, earned accolades for its ambitious and expanding platform for women in creativity — offering mentorship, community, and educational pathways. This initiative has grown from a series of virtual roundtables into a full-fledged leadership and empowerment movement, with conferences and mentoring programs that fill critical gaps in gender equity.
Judges of the Stevie Awards commended the campaign as “a pioneering initiative empowering women in the creative industry. Its evolution from a virtual roundtable to a large-scale leadership conference demonstrates significant impact. Strong execution, high engagement, and industry relevance make this an outstanding entry.”
Another added: “This campaign not only acknowledges the challenges women face but actively empowers them through mentorship, networking, and educational programs… helping them thrive with a lasting impact on their growth and success.”
The campaign’s alignment with the landmark Philippine Creative Industries Development Law further underscores its significance in building a more inclusive creative economy. One judge hailed it as: “A compelling and impactful entry! The adobo SheCreative Network and Conference demonstrate exceptional leadership… An impressive benchmark for the region!”
A Call for Creative Sustainability
Also taking home Gold was adobo Magazine’s ambitious year-long editorial direction for 2024, the Year of Creative Sustainability — a campaign that anticipated the challenges of a changing creative landscape marked by digital disruption such as the AI boom and industry shifts, urging a need for creatives to reassert their value in the changing creative economy.
This initiative aimed to educate, enable, and empower creatives while creating platforms for visibility and growth, such as the launch of adoboTalks Podcast, high-impact editorial pieces, and the first-ever Portfolio Night Manila, joining 24 cities worldwide in a major milestone for the local industry.
A Stevie judge commended: “Impressive series of programs and initiatives… Applause specifically to first-ever Portfolio Night in Manila… and adoboTalks Podcast launch featuring high-level conversations with the Philippines’ and the world’s top creative figures!”
Another remarked: “An impactful thought leadership campaign… Declaring 2024 the Year of Creative Sustainability is timely and impactful. Excellent reach and partnerships strengthen this entry! Congratulations and keep it up!”
Now in its 12th year, the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards program recognizing innovation across all 29 markets in the Asia-Pacific region. adobo’s entries were among 1,000 nominations across categories such as Innovation in Products & Services, Corporate Websites, and Management that were considered.
“The 12th Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards received an impressive array of outstanding entries,” said Maggie Miller, President of the Stevie Awards. “This year’s winners have clearly shown their dedication to innovation, and we commend their resilience and imaginative efforts. We’re excited to honor many of them at our awards ceremony on 13 May.”
These latest wins build on adobo’s legacy of innovation and advocacy in the creative sector in nearly 20 years, going beyond the reportage on industry shifts, but actively leads and shapes them. With its bold editorial vision and community-driven programming, adobo continues to raise the bar for creative media in the Philippines and beyond.
