Suncorp Insurance and Leo Australia have just handed every Australian home its own microphone

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – In a collaboration that speaks volumes about the risks Australian homeowners face, Suncorp Insurance and Leo Australia unveiled Haven, a first of its kind digital platform that lets houses “speak up” about looming cyclones, bushfires, floods, and storms. It then takes that info and then coaches their owners on how to fight back.

Australia sits on the frontlines of climate change and the numbers are sobering: more than 2.7 million addresses face high risk from at least one extreme-weather peril. Haven tackles that anxiety head on by fusing property, location, weather, and natural hazard data into a personalised resilience report for any address in the country. Type in your street name and your home stars in a short, AI generated video explaining its greatest threats and the fixes that matter most.

The tool is powered by ethical AI that tailors each video to the age and style of the house. Homeowners can download a detailed interactive checklist packed with practical upgrades, from clearing gutters to installing water-resistant skirting. Haven stitches together live Google APIs for 3D visualisation, CoreLogic’s granular property intel, Geoscape’s geospatial smarts, and real time forecasts from WillyWeather. The result is a seamless, mobile first experience that feels as simple and intuitive.

For Leo Australia, Haven is the next chapter in a resilience storytelling arc that began with 2021’s One House, continued with Resilience Road in 2022, and evolved into 2023’s If Your Home Could Talk campaign.
