MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Two of GIGIL’s boldest campaigns have been shortlisted at the 2025 D&AD Awards. Miracle, created for ARC Refreshments Corporation and inspired by Himala, was recognized in the Film category under the Social Commercials Over 15 Seconds subcategory. Meanwhile, Steal for Mandaue Foam Home Store was shortlisted in the same category, under both the TV/VOD Commercials 16–180 Seconds and the Creative Use of Budget subcategories.
This achievement by ADFEST 2025’s Independent Agency of the Year contributes to the Philippines’ strong showing at the D&AD Awards, bringing the country’s total to six shortlisted entries. The other two include two from BBDO Guerrero’s “Play The Dew” campaign and one from MullenLowe TREYNA’s “Right To Care Card.”
Miracle
“RC Cola wanted to promote RC Mega, a variant that serves up to four persons. Its refreshing taste and serving size make it a bang for your buck. For a cola brand to provide those product benefits at such an affordable price seemed like a miracle. So RC took inspiration from pop culture and referenced the 1980s Filipino film classic ‘Himala’ (Miracle). RC Cola meticulously recreated scenes from the critically acclaimed film — from the acting, costume, set, color grading, and even the film’s grain,” Miracle’s description read.
Steal
“Mandaue Foam Home Store has been trusted for their high-quality mattresses. Now with more than 50 showrooms all over the Philippines, they wanted to tell people that they offer thousands of home products — to steal business from IKEA.” Steal’s description read.
Steal and Miracle have both earned international recognition for their creative excellence. At ADFEST 2025, Steal won a Silver Lotus in the Film category and also took home a Bronze at the 2025 Clio Awards. Meanwhile, Miracle received a Bronze Spike in the Film category at Spikes Asia 2025 and won a Gold at the 2025 Clio Awards — the only Gold awarded to the Philippines this year.
The 2025 D&AD Awards have announced the final shortlist from all 44 Awards categories across the following disciplines: Design, Advertising, Craft, Engagement and Experience, Health, Luxury, Entertainment and Impact – bringing the total shortlisted works to 1,288, 241 of which came from Asia alone.
