PARIS, FRANCE – In the ever-evolving world of dating apps, where swipes dominate screens and digital fatigue is all too real, happn stands apart, rooted in the charm of real-life encounters. And now, in its latest creative venture, the brand has found its perfect match in independent agency Steve, choosing them to craft a campaign that celebrates the thrill of crossing paths.
With an ethos that encourages singles to live in the moment—whether exploring the city, dancing, laughing, or simply being present—happn isn’t just another dating app. It’s a movement that invites people to put their phones away and let real life do the matchmaking. By leveraging geolocation, happn turns everyday places into spaces for genuine connections. And this campaign, designed by Steve, brings that very essence to life.
At the heart of the production is No Maybe Yes (Eddy Production), whose creative lens captures the magic of unscripted encounters—those fleeting moments that might just lead to something unforgettable.
Rolling out across digital, VOD, VOL (20s and 15s formats), and PR (30s format) starting January 24, the campaign will expand into OOH placements in spring, bringing the message of real-life romance to the streets where it belongs.
“happn embodies an approach to dating where technology gives way to authentic human connections. We believe that the best encounters come from the spontaneity of everyday life, and this is our vision: to help singles reconnect with real life, in their town, as they walk along”, explains Karima Ben Abdelmalek – CEO – happn.
“All the players in the market are starting to talk about real life, but the truth is that happn is the only brand that can really claim this thanks to its unique model, which makes it a great popular brand,” adds Guillaume Lartigue – co-CEO and Executive Creative Director – Steve.
