SINGAPORE – We’re pleased to announce that Benjamin Joe has been appointed as Meta‘s new Regional Vice President for Asia Pacific, taking over from Dan Neary, who will be leaving the company in a few months.
Ben is a 14-year Meta veteran and has played a significant role in Meta’s APAC leadership team for over 12 years. His previous positions include Country Director, Korea and most recently Vice President, Southeast Asia and Emerging Markets. He began his journey at Meta in the United States in new business development with the Growth team. Prior to joining Meta, Ben worked at McKinsey & Company and IBM.
As Regional Vice President for Meta, Ben will join Nicola Mendelsohn (Head of Global Business Group)’s leadership team, and will assume responsibilities in July, working closely with Dan Neary to ensure a seamless transition.

Nicola Mendelsohn said, “Ben is a strong leader with deep knowledge of our company and region, making him a natural choice to lead our business in APAC. His excellent track record in Korea and Southeast Asia is testimonial to his leadership and capability in building strong teams and helping businesses across the region grow.”
“I am honored and grateful to serve as Vice President of APAC as we look towards a future brimming with potential across the APAC region. With our talented teams, I’m excited to harness the power of AI to unlock new opportunities for growth, collaboration and impact for businesses across the region,” Ben said.
Following Ben’s appointment, we are also pleased to share that Sandhya Devanathan, VP for India, will expand her responsibilities to include Southeast Asia.
