PARIS, FRANCE – For the 2025 Roland-Garros tournament, Renault steps up its game with the launch of a limited edition Renault 5 – a sleek, electric ode to tennis and French flair. This marks the first time since Renault became a premium partner of the tournament that it has unveiled a special edition vehicle inspired directly by Roland-Garros in a bold collision of sport and design.

To bring this stylish collaboration to life, Publicis Conseil crafted a fully integrated 360° campaign, uniting the electric innovation of the Renault 5 with the passion of tennis and the aesthetic of The French, Renault’s lifestyle fashion collection.

With its striking design, the Renault 5 Roland-Garros E-Tech electric embeds the tournament into its very DNA. Flourishes like the refined silhouette to details like the e-pop shifter (inspired by a tennis racket grip) and the Roland-Garros insignia tastefully embedded in the Croix de Saint-André in a subtle architectural homage to the stadium reinforce the imagery of the tournament. First previewed during the 2024 tournament, it has officially been up for grabs since April 2025.
In a film directed by Jonas Lindstroem, Renault’s launch film gives voice to the Renault 5 as it is reimagined as an ardent tennis fan, enamored with Roland-Garros. The film transforms everyday cityscapes into courtside dreams, with ochre clay dust sidewalks and clean white lines tracing the geometry of tennis courts. Set to Rover’s evocative cover of Always On My Mind, it blends the best of both Renault and Roland Garros.
Renault’s global ambassador and tennis sensation Casper Ruud leads the way in the campaign, guiding fans from city streets to the sacred gates of Roland-Garros. He becomes a stylish bridge between Renault’s legacy and tennis’ prestige.
To complement the cinematic piece, Renault unveils its ready-to-wear tennis collection 2025 The French. For the occasion, Publicis Conseil created an entirely 3D visual, “Équilibre”, where merchandising and tennis elements combine to form the Renault logo, all in perfect balance. This creation is available in an animated version, both for digital use and as part of the TV campaign for The Originals Renault Store brand.
